Big Ol rant couple of weeks past re V8,LPG woes. sorted overheat with new thermo and proper gasket. Result huge misfires. No air locks, airbox blown to bits. Sorted by replacing plugs, leads, Cap,arm & coil. Bugger - then cut outs at all temps& revs. First workshop visited found no fault, but it drove like a pig on cider! Took the beast to independent L'Rover specialist, hooked up to 'puter . still no sign of fault, until the guy found that the coolant was reading 14c at full temp and petrol/gas intake was 89c ! So simple, past owner had misconnected the sensor leads - hidden amongst other stuff in the V8 engine bay. Put the right male to the right female lead and now runs like it should.
