Boroughbridge police are appealing for information following the theft of two Land Rover Defenders from Whixley.
The first, which is black and has the registration number X5HYG, was stolen between 2pm on Saturday 5 May and 5pm on Monday 7 May 2012, from an address on Stonegate.
The second, which is silver / grey and has the registration number YH06YKC, was taken from another property on Stonegate between 11pm on Sunday 6 May and 8am on Monday 7 May 2012. It is quite distinctive with black steel wheels with off road tyres, black front bull bars, a roof bar with spotlights, a snorkel on the drivers side and a checkered design on the bonnet and sills.
PC Neil Roworth, of Boroughbridge Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:
"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the Stonegate area of Whixley over the weekend between Saturday 5 and Monday 7 May 2012, to contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible."
