whats the best solution to night walkers, pinching all my defender bits?? im fed up o'them !!:mad:
wheels,a bars,mats......for fk sake......what is it with 'em....its got an immobiliser , saves driving off, but the bell wires get cut, the windows popped......give meeeeeee a break....apart from gluing the window seals, & filling the truck with toxic gas.:eek: .....what do you do ?????
 
run a wire from the mains to yer bodywork and make sure yer parked in a big puddle. alternatively you could move out to the middle of nowhere.

I find that i can leave me car unlocked with the keys in it all the time. and nowt goes missin because its just to far from the beaten track fer them to be bothered with.
 
I had same problem when in Edinburgh - snorkle, lights, mirrors - you name it..

In end used bolts with different sized heads and an assortment of security heads - got them from a website, which I'll look up and edit this.

For allen bolts and screws, got some black silicon and filled them over nice and smooth - ok easy to remove but to a scrotum they'll look a bit tougher.

I feel your pain and know the lurch in your stomach - I've still got chisel shaped holes around my door locks - bastards.

can't find the link, but the bolts I used were these sort of "happy face" ones with two holes and a bit of a mixture of other security head bolts - anything to slow them down..... And if it was a big cost item, the armour tops at the bottom of the screen

landmine your drive! set up some top poppers or set-up a tripwire/ razorwire combo so they trip over the tripwire and land in the razor wire

mmmmmmm know what ya meen about the change all the nuts & bolts to odd sizes,thanks guys....... i am in the middle of no - where thats why they come prouling, in the dark........some have been caught & pistol whipped, but some got away too !!

Move to south east london. They're too busy shooting and stabbing each other to bother too much. Did once have a spare wheel nicked though. And some bastard tk my front gate. I think they come up from t'country on a Saturday night just to upset us poor law-abiding townies.

Have you tried buying one of those big security lights and pointing it at the place you park your landy? You might be able to link it to a recording of a Rottweiler.

Mastiffs are better than Rotties anyway. They don't bark - just hang on to the bastard for days while you "fail to notice".
 
Get a 2a.
My 20 year old "hooddy" nephew who works as a diesel fitter and does a bit of banger racing took 20mins trying to start my 2a before giving up.

The kids don't understand chokes and starter buttons.
He spent 10 mins turning the ignition key and and checking out the plugs etc.:D

But to stop the litte scrotes from pinching bits i find that a gravel drive, auto lights and a locked gate has worked sofar.

we got a lil contraption on the work shop door that is atached to the door . you set it so when someone opens the door it shhots a 12bore cartridge into there feet. then when you wana go in you just disconect the wire and it wont go off. they are about 40 quid and im sure it can be bodged to fit a defender. and you can use blanks so its all nice and leagal .alternativle lie in the back one night with mug of coffe and a pump action 12 bore then when you hear them cummin reel a couple off into the air . simple and fun
