Folks I have a defender 90 truck cab td 300. I have had fitted, a Terrafirma 2 inch lift using medium springs and shocks. The vehicle has a role cage and a front winch.. The issue is my landrover crashes over even small pot holes and the back seems to want to pass the front. I have new tyres 285 75 16. I drove a similar age 90 today with a similar lift of un known make and it just glides over the pot holes. Even if you hit something fast it just bounces and bucks a bit with no crashing! The control of the vehicle is easy and not threatening like mine. The tyres are inflated to 20 psi for off road.

I need help did the company who fitted this kit put the springs at the right end? How would I tell? How do I fix this. Harder or softer springs.

Thanks in advance for your help..

You need to search dude. This has been covered many many times before. It gets a little dull answering the same question all the time.

Search, search, search. Then ask the question. ;)

It shouldn't behave like that. I have the same springs on a much lighter 90 (no roll cage, no winch and no roof) and it handles great. Terrafirma rear springs are progressive springs whereas the fronts aren't so a quick glance will tell you if they are right front-to-back.

What condition are your bushes in?

And maybe do a search first next time ;)

I was told today that terrafirma shock absorbers with Range Rover springs was a good mix of smooth ride and decent for off roading.
