Hi All,
I'm a new landy owner and my 05 Freelander is experiencing this issue with the heated windscreen.
There are 2-3 small sections of filaments that work on the passenger side so I get a few lines of clearing but the drivers side does nothing at all.
I've removed the scuttle from under the windscreen by removing the wiper arms etc and taking the two pieces out and I can see the wires going to the windscreen, which are tightly adhered it seems. The fuses are both OK as well.
My question is, can you actually access the point at which the wires connect to the screen to actually see what is happening there?
I can see where they go but short of removing the windscreen I can't see how to check if the connections are corroded etc.
Been having fun with this freelander, so far there's been a new rear passenger window regulator replacement, one failed and one successful repair/replacement of the tailgate regulator, new rear wiper arm and several rear defroster tabs broken off. One wobbly wing mirror to go
Loving it!
Thanks for your help guys.
Cheers
