we all sit on this forum moaning about how bad the freelander 1 is
we rant when things fall of or break we spend how had earned money
on them we clean and polish them every week
BUT WE STILL MOAN ALL THE TIME ABOUT THEM
IS IT WE WANT TO BE THE OWNER OF A MOTOR WITH THE ICONIC GREEN
OVAL BADGE OR IS IT THAT WE ARE BRITISH AND LIKE A GOOD MOAN

THANKS NIK
:)

well when i look on this forum it seems there is always some one moaning
i had mine a month ten year old and the brake went solid new calipairs ,pads window was working fine but now wont open now driver door wont work on c/l but
its my freelander and i love it
nik

i dont moan about my car...nothing wrong....and as a french i should, because we are better moaners and raleurs than you british are :hysterically_laughi
its my freelander and i love it
I do agree

French, moaners..... yep! :)

I think the majority of moaners are non-freelander owners, ie. the 'real' 4x4 owners. The Freelander is a mish-mash of ideas, and not particularly geared for 'real' off roading - it is after all a 'pretendy' off-roader. However, I have a Disco and the missus drive the Gaylander, but so far I'm quite happy with the Freelanders performance.

Why would I moan about having a comfortable machine with good performance, excellent economy & superb (for a small 4x4) handling.

mind you the real 4 x 4 has you call them moan more about there motors then us freelander owners they just rust apart

i can say for now " yes i met freelander's owners who are happy"
A propos..my last complete check up in a garage (not a LR one) : 20€ (TD4 126 000km)

I think the impression to be gained in general from LZ is that FL1 owners are always moaning about them. What is most likely happening is the FL1 owner comes here when his car breaks and then has a moan about how much it might cost him until one of the regulars points him in the right direction. Once fixed we never see them again, when you would have something positive to write.

To try and straighten the bias I would just like to say that I love my Freelander and its great!! :D:D:D

I have to say its good to see Minger doing a bit of Freelander advising again. He's nobbled the mutt and got back to some proper stuff. :D:D:D

well i have to say i love my fl its 1.8 petrol and i vowed i wouldnt buy one but i was just to good a price, ive just returned from a round trip of 1500 miles to englandshire and it was relaxing not bad on petrol and never missed a beat and my other vehicles a defender 300tdi,and apart from tail gate window needing new cable no problems in six months of ownership.so there!!!!

I have owned my freelander xedi for two years five months, and like all cars
they do have there faults but I do enjoy it and have had no serious problems
