I've just popped outside and checked. They could be stuck onto the door itself on one of the raised metal pressing on the frame, just above the rubber bump stop. OR stuck onto the rear of the door's map/crap pocket.

They measure - 65mm x 45mm, and I've ordered a pair!

Yeh, they tried them on British railway carriage doors and it brought the network to a halt - wrong type of luminosity.
