May be stupid but you have got the cd's in the right way up? They should be face down in the tray :)

i fink he means when you looks at a cd....if yur sees yur face int reflection with no writin on it,that side

Sorry wasn't very clear! Picture side of the cd should be facing down. As in the opposite to a conventional cd player. There is a mark on the trays telling you which way aswell.

This is true for the 4.6 HSE with Harmon Kardon system - not sure what make the multichanger is.

:)

i looked at the writing on shuttle and placed cds in that way, and to erradicate the "stupid" element i even turned the cds face down and still got the same response. i then turned them back the right way and still get the same reading on the stereo, no disc,

I have had this happen twice now. I got around it by pressing the cd-cassette in a bit harder using just my fingers & holding it in > I could then hear the cd's loading and it all worked fine again. When it happened the second time, I repeated this and it's again working fine. I have no idea what the actual problem is, but if it keeps working like it is, that will do for me.

If like me you use Cd's made on your pc, ie compilation discs etc then cd changers don't like them. The leccy at work told me in his last job he was always getting cars in with faulty cd changers, and the only problem was the cd's not being originals. Newer cd changers are fine but older ones like you get in P38's etc just don't like home made cd's.

i took off the stucked cd but i didn't try it yet ... i hope thie will be the main problem ... because even the newest cd players aren't so good as the original fitted by the company
regards

it worksssssssssss
maybe it's a miracle ..
whatever .. the most important thing that my cd changer is back to work

Had a similar problem a couple of months ago where the cartridge would not eject despite making all the noises when the eject button was pressed and displaying "No disc" when I tried to play the CD.
Removed the unit, took the lid off and found a CD was stuck in the play position-reckon it was slightly warped. Jiggled it out with care and all was fine after but the disc was wrecked. Don't know if it was coincidence but the CD was one that I had "Duplicated".

no mate .. it's not a coincidence ... that's what happened to my cd changer ... it doesn't play unless the original copies
that's what we call authentism
regards

It plays accidentally created duplicates fine-made for evaluation purposes of course. Just that the only CD in the stack that jammed was a copy, it had been playing fine for months.

even mine ... i put the same cd .. and it plays as normal .. but i rmove it out ... and now i'm using just the original copies

Hi, a year late, but may be of use to some one.
I had the no cd display on my dhse when - 1. it worked the day before and 2. i knew the mag was full of the right way up cd's.
bought a lense cleaner which did nothing- so removed boot sidecover and withdrew cd unit from framework. When the changer was out and still conected i tried to reload the mag with only the cleaning cd in, if you look closely between the r/h side of the mag and the player you will see that the player takes each cd in and out(working 1-6). what mine was doing was sticking on number 3, it was actually the mag door that was sticking. I revoved all the drawers, cleaned them and now everything is ok. Hope this helps . phil13
