If its registered as an estate it wont be liable for the charge as it only effects commercial vehicles. however many csw's are registered as 4x4 utility on the log book and will get hit, there is an online checker thingy on the tfl website . luckily mine is estate so I can still add to the smog

This isn't entirely true, mine is registered as a light utility vehicle ( LR90 ) but i still don't have to pay till 2012 according to the check.
