Well, I uncovered the 89 Classic RR this morning, after 4 months bagged up. Checked her over, put the battery in and spun her round. Engined fired after about 5 seconds, sounded sweet as...
Test drive going great. She felt balanced, no new noises, smooth motor. Temperature normal. I was very smug and happy.
Heading towards a T-junction, doing about 15mph I lost the brakes. Pedal went soft, I pumped it like a maniac, but was clearly not going to stop. Cue hard handbrake and skidding stop.
Parked her up and checked... fluid ****ing from front offside wheel, so I guess something has corroded or hardened and gone.
AA recovering this afternoon. But it'll take me a bit longer....
