Anyone ever managed to get temporary insurance for under 21s? Tempcover.com reckon they will insure 18+ but having tried to get a quote the computer says no!!

I think I can add temporary cars to my existing long term policy, but thought it easier to just get a temp policy if possible. Looking to insure a 300tdi disco for a week or 2 at a time

Phone them. The computer dissnae like it if yer under 25

Temp cover will insure you if you're under 21 but it has a limit on engine size! Not sure what the limit is though. I couldn't get temp cover for a disco 1 300tdi, or a 2 litre vw golf but it worked for a 1.3 fiesta! Feckin expensive though!!

Cheers cooper just tried quoting my 1.6 diesel company car and computer said yes!! £43 a day though whereas I pay roughly £2 a day with my actual insurance company! Think I'll just pay the ~£20 admin fees to add as a temp car on my existing policy!
