what is the normal temperature for the gauge to be on? i think mine isnt going up enough
the most right gauge
it stays on the 3rd line, even after a long drive.

That sounds like a duff thermostat, but what's the vehicle? On my p38 is supposed to be at the halfway/vertical position

Temp should be at twelve o'clock position normally.

As they report - the needle should be at 12o'clock 99% of the time.....the other 1% it maybe a needle width or two either way, but not at the quarter or three-quarter line......
