My LH electric window is on the blink. A few days ago it stopped working then it started again. Then it stopped. Then it started and I told me wife, 'Look! It's working again!' at which point it stopped about 1" from the top.

When I press the button I hear a click from behind the glove box. The switch works which is good.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do?

The first place to look for "iffy" electric windows is inside the little tube grommet between the door and the A post. The wires in there are under some stress due to the constant moving and they will eventually fail completely but at the moment it sounds like they are just making and breaking contact as they flex with the door moving.

I had a similar problem with the window on the driver's side. The hardest part of the job is getting some new wires down through the tube but once that's done the rest of the job is fairly simple.
