Cant view the link, but if it is a normal Range Rover, then no, they are different.

Range Rover is a straight 6
Disco 3/RR Sport are V6's...
 
Didnt realise they didnt bother putting it in the RR as I definatly worked on prototype vehicles with them in :confused:

I guess in the end the V8 was picked instead to make the RR different from the Sport :)
 
the 3.0L straight six not the BMW engine while the 2.7 (3.0) V6 is a ford/PSA design

Well actually its 100% a Ford design, PSA just buy them from us and in exchange we get their 4 pots.

There are 3 varients of the engine, Jag twin turbo, LR single turbo which are both RWD designs (obviously mated to a 4wd transmission in the LR) and the PSA twin turbo which is a FWD layout. :)
