Hi guys.

Doing a rebuild, got galvanized chassis and all new nuts bolts etc. The bulkhead I have has the usual rust spots (footwells, pillar feet, vents) and looking to buy a tdci bulkhead and getting galv dipped.

So what's needed to get the 200tdi dash and engine bay components fitted to the tdci bulkhead so I can get sorted before it gets dipped.

Or is it too much hassle and better to repair orginal bulkhead and then dip it.

Many thanks greg

I had the tdci bulkhead for my 200tdi
but after it was galved the panel where the original vents go was so badly distorted it would have taken loads of filler to get it looking right
so i sold it one a had the standard one rebuilt.

Yeah I've heard people say about distortion, I just thought a new bulkhead would have been less likely compared to a repaired one :)
sorry to hear about your bulkhead tho!

Was.there much alteration to the tdci bulkhead though for the 200tdi dash/heaterbox etc?

Many thanks greg

i think the hole needed moving over to take the original heater
and the hole needed to be recut in the middle where the wiring comes in
oh and dont forget you will have to cut the hole bigger for the gearbox
