Hi all

I need your help before my 2003 L322 TD6 is driving me crazy...
When warm it turns over fine but doesn't start. I can hear, that the in-tank fuel pump (feed pump) is not running. I can hear the in-line (low-pressure pump) running. When cold it starts and runs fine with no issues.
When it doesn't start the in-tank fuel pump is not running. When the car has been left alone overnight it starts again with no issues.
So far I have replaced:
Battery, in-tank fuel pump, in-line fuel pump, fuel-filter, air-filter and fuel rail sensor, fuel pump relay.

When the car is running I don't get any fault codes from my GAP IIDControl fault code reader. When the car doesn't start I get the fault codes: 'P1180-04 Low side fuel pressure sensor plausibility (fuel filter) - pre-delivery pressure below starting required - General failure information -system internal failure' and code '0x09F6 Unknown'. I don't get any errors on the injectors. When running the voltage shows 13.9v.
The pre-fuel pressure shows 3.9bar when the in-tank fuel pump is priming. When it's not priming it drops quickly (of course) and I guess that's the reason for the 'low side fuel pressure'-error.
I don't get any errors on the injectors.

Is there a sensor somewhere that tells the in-tank pump to start/not to start? And what could cause this sensor to do that?

Best regards

Kasper
