Hi, car started telling me that the key fob battery was low even after changing it twice but as all still worked I egnored it.
Last night I noticed my brake lights were stuck on and that the key won't turn in the ignition nor will the key fob open the doors. I have fitted a new battery to the car but this fixed nothing. If I pull fuse 18 or disconnect the battery this still doesn't let me turn the key. Any ideas anyone please?

if the barrel doesn't turn then theres a physical problem, not electrical
I though that the car had to read the key to unlock the ignition? There are many YouTube videos that show a work round to unlock the ignition on a one time hit, but it doesn't work on my car.

Why, if your fob battery was low, have you "put a new battery to the car". It would appear ignoring your fob warnings may have started the issues. So start there. Just because a battery is 'new' , doesn't mean it's good. Buy a new one, buy a different brand, try again. Once changed synch key with vehicle.
