I'm planning to add some additional auxilliary power sockets to the cubby box on my 110 TD5 (2005) and a supply for a CB radio.
I'd like to make sure all or some of the supply is available only with accessories on at the ignition switch.
I reckon it's easier to add a new fusebox under the driver seat, use a relay to pass power from the battery to cubby equipment with a relay trigger from the ignition switch.
My question is: does anyone know if any of the wires under the driver's seat are live on ignition accessory on? And, which would be safe to take a feed for the relay from? I guess the ECU gets s feed from the ignition but I'm loathe to starte mucking about with that.
I could use a multi-meter and check each one but I'm hoping someine can help me be lazy.
I've got the wiring diagram but it location of items isn't clear.
Cheers,
Steve
