Hi, recently had the injectors rebuild on my td5 defender due to starting issues once I got it back it still has starting issues just not as bad as before, when you turn the ignition on you can hear almost like air rushing whilst it's priming the regulator was replaced 2 weeks ago due to it leaking only started making the noise after the injectors had been replaced??? Any help would be much appreciated thanks,Max

Was the work done by a reputable company? including refitting the injectors?

Were genuine washers and seals used?

If you do the purge cycle does it start OK?

Cheers

Yeah all genuine parts was done by someone who used to work for Land Rover, when the cycle is done starts near enough straight away apart from every so often will crank over for longer
Cheers Max

keep an eye on engine oil level and is it rising it could be possible they have damaged one of the orings on install I highly doubt its a combustion washer issue is no mention of fuel pump screaming like a cat while running

maybe ask them was the gauze filter cleaned inside the head and o ring fitted along with a new FPR gasket

other to check would be is the fuel tank cap make sure this is not creating a vacuum in the tank ..the fuel filter housing has 2 valves none return and air bleed in removed mine for tests no ill side affects ps you cant purchase the none return duck mouth valve on its own but you can purchase the air bleed valve on its own
