Have a problem when driving in heavy rain on motorway engine wants to cut out at hi revs if it was a petrol motor would have said moisture in distributor.For a truck that can Wade through small rivers toss!

just how high are we talking and how fast were you trying to go??

Yer welcome nice of you to introduce yerself. Before you logged in did you have a look around ? I take it you missed the before you Post bit.

I was trying to get to the bottom of why your TD5 should have problems in the wet cos mine doesn't and copes easily with pretty deep water. Even more so with snorkle and axle breather pipes fitted.

May I tactfully suggest you get yer head out from up yer arse ;)

Your the one with the problem not me ;)
 
Sorry seem to have got of on the wrong foot(not introducing myself ,incorrect punctuation etc).Well the problem only occurs when engine revs are reaching point before a gear change or engine is under load ie going up hill.Problem only happens in wet spray conditions(Motorway driving).Snorkel is fitted.

Sounds to me like a breathing problem.

Wet filter.

Is your snorkel fitted properly. ie does the engine stall if you stick yer hand over the top?
