I have also just discovered that the power steering pump is leaking. Mechanic says this particular pump cant be fixed but only repalced. does that sound right.

1. is the td5 diesel version different to the v8 petrol/gas?
2. are they rhd/lhd specific?
i found a td5 diesel pump in the US (i live in jamaica) for 290 (non OEM) but i wanna make sure it is the right part. the US only has the gas/petrol model and no diesel, and I'm wondering if the diesel was even built in LHD (for European markets?)
