I've been replacing injectors seals and washers. I noticed that injector in cylinder 5 did not have a tight fit like the others, its so not tight I actually wondered when fitting the new o ring if it would seal ! Why would injector 5 not have such a tight fit ? No cracks or sign of any cracks so far. Is a simple fix to this a bigger o ring ? Is this a common problem. Searched the forums but could not see anything about loose injector (well not loose just not very tight) !

thanks James I know, what I was asking is can anyone think of any logical rationale why it doesn't ?????????

Does seem very odd! Have you tried swapping the injector for one from another cylinder? Remember to swap them back after.
My injectors pushed in with a light shove from my hand.
As long as you cant see any leaks when the system is pressurised, I wouldnt try to fit a larger O ring.
Mark
PS Even on my cracked head the injector was still tight.
You could just have a badly machined head, or a re-worked one.

cheers Mark thanks for your reply, that's maybe what's going on, I suppose I,d assumed that the injectors would be in very tight, but like I said number five is slightly less tight easily going in and out by hand. There are no other symptoms of a crack. well not yet anyways..........cheers
