I have taken out a 10p TD5 engine from a early 2001 Disco 2 and put in a 15p TD5 from a late 2001 Disco 2 but I am struggling to get the 'new' engine to run, (Ran very well before lifting out).
I have tried the ECU that was with the 15p engine but run up against the immobilizer which I know I can sort using a BA5076 adapter for my hawk eye (which I don't have and funds are getting tighter).
I have used the Hawkeye to recode the injectors having read these from the 15p ECU then verified by taking the rocker cover off.
Problem - When I code the injectors the ECU (10p) will not accept the final digit. On injectors 1 - 4 it changes the last letter to A and on injector 5 it leaves it blank.
I have called the local indy garage and he said they would just swap in the old injectors but I don't really want to do this.
Anyone have any ideas.
