Hi to all,

I want to up grade up disco with heated front seats. Has anyone done this to their disco.
Checked all the wiring / looms and they are in place. I understand that you can purchase the heated seat switches & cover plate for centre console from Land Rover dealer.

My question can you purchase the heated seat elements (Qty 04) and fit them into the existing seats?

Must keep the wife happy......:scratching_chin:

Cheers Silver Streak

sorry to jump in, does all the d1's es range have the wiring ready for the heaters and switches to fit in thanks

Hi to all, Thanks for all your replies especially andymach for the link. Just purchased all items required from Land Rover dealer; 4 x heating elements, 2 x switches, and cover plate to do job. Cost £110 inc delivery. Will be undertaking this job on Friday. Will let you all know how I got on. Cheers Silver Streak, & the wife's hotty botty. :flame2:

Heated front seats are standard on my ES and any ES fitted with electric leather seats I would think. I understand that some of the earler ES's did not have electric seats, so perhaps not on that model.

i get you, mines got electric moving seats but not heated, would pulling the window switches cover off reveal the plugs for the switches or is there an esier way to see if the wirings already there, thanks

Benj, The centre console plate where the electric windows switches are is where the heated seats switches go. First remove cover plate with a couple flat screwdrivers. Once done you'll see the 2 holes for the switches... You'll see the mounting panel is held in place by star screws. Remove all star screws and left panel forward with care. Remember electric windows plugs are still connected behind panel. Inside this area you will find 2 plugs hanging & not connected. These should be 5 Pin clip-in plugs. If present these will be your heated seat plugs to under both both seats. If you require more info then just get in touch. Regards Silver Streak.

I know this is an old thread but just called my main stealer and just for the 2 base pads and the 2 back pads with no switches (I have already got them ) they wanted £156.28:eek: which does seem a hell of and increase in 2 years.
anyone know a cheaper supplier than marshall land rover in Peterborough?
