:) Hi all, do a lot of night driving here in Kenya, so do not want to meet up with the rear end of an elephant on a dark road (could be quite messy).
So I planned to upgrade my H4 headlamps to HID. Bought a HID dim/bright kit and on fitting it have encountered a puzzling problem. The kit came with a very proffesional looking harness (relays, ignitors, ballasts etc.) They all clip together and into the standard wiring harness, at the headlight bulb sockets.
My problem is when switching on the lights, the alarm flashers come on without the hooters. It is not the normal flashers or emergency flashers as I have removed the relevant fuses and relays. I reconnected all, start the vehicle and everything works perfectly. Switching on the new lights everything works, but the alarm flashers come on and cannot be switched off until the engine ignition switch is turned off. Can anyone help?

Did you manage to find a solution to your problem?

I've installed a similar kit and it's doing the same thing. I've found if I flick the headlight switch on very quickly I can get the headlamps to come on
without the hazards activating...there's no errors being logged in the alarm ECU either :(
