Hi
Got a 2001 td5 disco2, hav recently heard whinnying/ rumbling I have checked the front wheels and the drivers side moves top to bottom quite a bit think that the wheel bearing has gone... I know you can only buy the whole hub, just wondered where's the best place/price to get it from??? Also does it matter what make I.e oem pattern part?? Have there been problems with these??? Also would I need to run the new ads wiring back to the ecu or can I just put the old abs sensor into the new hub??????

Many thanks jay

hi, ive just done my n/s hub yesterday, got new hub/bearing from paddocks for £260.00 it comes with the wiring all ready in it, im no mechanic but it wasnt that hard to do, i followed the instructions from discovery2owners.com, it sounds like the hub, mine was sounding like hard friction when disco was moving, yet my warning lites didnt come on ? so i put it up on axell stands and done the handle of a screwdriver thing, and wey hey it sounded as if there were a thousand tanks coming towards me gud luck:)

Yeah mine sounds like that feels like it moves loads how ever my lights have never come on as well..... Did you wire the sensor back to the ecu then????
Many thanks jay

careful fitting of sensor is needed its easy not to get it fitted in enough and so light remains on in dash ,it should come ready to plug into connector on inner wing
