Hallo All! I very new to this group and dont quite know what I am doing so if this has gone to the wrong page please forgive me. I am NOT trying to mess around. I have had Land rovers all my life and recently bought a TD5 Defender 90 XS. It is on a 52 plate and has done 58k miles. Having been on a trip to Cardiff to try it out got home to miss firing engin!! The local agent smiled and rubbed his hands in glee and said "New Wiring loom for the engin will sort it"....at a cost of £500.00! It did but what I would like to know is, is this a common problem with this engin?
