Hi, Can anybody help me as I am tearing my hair out. The door lock on the drivers door locks with the Central locking but when opening the vehicle I have to turn the key to unlock the drivers door only, the rest of the central locking works fine on all other doors.
However yesterday I went to unlock the door and found it would not open and the only way to open it was to climb over from the passenger side. I took it to a Land Rover nut mate of mine who took off the door card and lock to find that the rod which I can only describe as being 10 cms long with an opposite to a large Phillips head screw at one end and the other end with a hole about 1cm from the end though which a small collar like sleeve goes through. It has snapped at the the small hole end and I would like to replace it asap so if anyone could tell me if I can get one your help would be most appreciated.

IMO you need a new door latch assy as the door doesnt work on fob command... i'm reluctant about what that garage said... check this link for the part you think is gone but IMO you better go for a new actuator/latch assy: Allbrit.de - Ersatzteile für LAND ROVER & MG ROVER select + for the part you need then google out the part number cos it might be superseeded...and you'll find enough sellers to choose from;) ... my oppinion is that you need nr 5 for the proper hand drive
