both the front doors on my 1999 td5 es have the same problem both hinges on both doors are fine but the metal arm that stops the door from swinging to far open seems to have detached itself from the body at the elbow point. The previous owner must have had the same trouble as it looks to me as if someone has spot welded these before. The arm is bolted to the door and the inside of the body but now the weld has come off the elbow it keeps banging against the body everytime i open any of the doors, is there ment to be a rubber on the hole of the boby as on my other disco which is a 300 tdi es. Has anybody had a similar problem?
