Got an issue with the parking sensors on my 52 plate discovery. Now I know there are no diagnostics for this system so fault finding is quite difficult.
basically ignition on and in reverse long beep and flash on parking sensor switch. Got out and listened to the parking sensors for the clicking and one wasn’t clicking so replaced it with a genuine sensor.
Same issue after fitting except the new sensor clicks at a slower rate than the other 3. Switched with one of the other sensors and the slow click follows the new sensor.
This indicates to me that all the sensors have good wiring connections and the issue is the new sensor. So should all the sensors be calibrated the same or do I need to replace all the sensors?

Are you sure that the sensor you bought is genuine LR? if yes, what about the others?

Paddocks displayed it as genuine so can only assume it was. All the others I believe to be the originals. It has complete service history that was all in date order in a massive folder and nothing about parking sensors were in there.

As long as it's the only one which has a different behaviour than the others while it's working IMO the problem is that sensor...was it in a package with LR stamp on it? and the part number correct? ...there are cases when suppliers are mixing up parts
