Hi Guys would like some advice:

I have a 2005 td5 defender and i do a fair bit of occasional A road and motorway milage and i would like to try and increase economy slightly and put a bit less wear on the engine by reducing revs etc. I have seen this : Ashcroft Transmissions it seems a good and not too expensive option. How would it effect the gearing for towing i do tow boats (or will be doing when i pass my trailer test) around 1.5 - 2 tons will this be ok.

If i were to go with this option how easy time consuming is it to fit into the transfer box? I don't have a huge amount of technical knowledge but i think i could manage. Ashcrofts seem to want a huge amount to fit it.
