Hi all. I have an early TD5 defender (10P) on which the throttle has stopped responding.
I have already tried a few things as follows:
1, Changed the throttle pedal assembly for a known good one. My original was faulty as proved on another similar Defender.
2, Rewired the pedal using six core sheathed cable.
3, Swapped the ECU for a known good unit.
I have read elsewhere that there should be 7 connections on the pedal but mine only has 6. Pin C going to pin 20 on the ECU is not there.
I have put a Delphi scanner on the car and it is showing an error code 20 - Driver demand 3. It is stuck at 5 volts whereas demand 1 and 2 vary with throttle position.
What is driver demand 3 and where is the sensor.
I hope someone can help, Mark.
