disco dickie

Hi guys,
This very night I have just been reunited with my beloved land rover after a seven month battle with the ex old woman.
Filthy dirty and full of crap but that's the least of my problems.
I have 3 lights lit up on the dash, they are ABS, traction control and hill decent failure. Before we parted company I was going to put new front discs on as there was a wobble under braking.
Would these 3 lights be linked together as well as something to do with discs.
The ex said she had fitted new starter motor and lights came on few days later. I can't ask her any more questions as it is still a battlefield.

Thanks in advance for your help

Sounds like the 3 amigos.

Glad you got your Disco back though, plenty more fish in the sea, but its hard to find a decent Land Rver:)

Just searched it and it seems I have the 3 amigos. Is it likely to just be abs sensor or am I to have more problems than that.
Would I fail an mot with lights on in UK as my warrant of fitness is up soon( nz mot )

Are we talking amigos or fish?

I am surprised that my filthy dirty and full of crap comment didn't get more of a response because when I just read it, it could actually mean ex or the motor but it was the motor that was foremost in my mind. Lol

do somehow to get the fault codes read...then you'll know for sure what's the issue...there could be lots of causes even if the sensor/hub or SVS failures are the most common

You've got the "three amigos" - very common problem and often caused by a worn hub bearing.

If it is this, To fix it you will need a new hub inc bearing and abs sensor - they all come as a package with the new hub.

Yes those warning lights will fail a UK mot test

Sorry to hijack but I have the same problem, driving home tonight the 3 amigos illuminated with a noise, switched off then back on again and just the abs light is on now.
Bought the car about 3 weeks ago and previous owner inforemed me both wheel bearings had been done so im thinking those should be ok?
Im guessing it needs plugging in to see what codes are there??

]Maybe it's the two that haven't been done.

I found these on island 4x4, they are a lot cheaper than the others. Does anybody know if they are any good.

89 pounds

Its an old Tommy Cooper gag "I was cleaning the attic out last night with the wife, filthy dirty, covered in cobwebs, but she's good with the kids":D
Get the codes read its no good tyring to guess. Good luck

No body in Napier has the equipment to read it. Have to drive to hastings Tuesday morning for a 7.30 appointment at a main dealer.
Third world at times!

I've got a similar issue. Did some welding last weekend - battery off etc etc. Had to remove the engine bay fuse box as well as it was inner wing time. After reassembling, started up fine and everything works but.... Traction control , ABS , suspension leveling lights are all staying on. I've checked all the connections under the fuse box , all fuses in both boxes are fine , no obvious wiring damage, all connections are intact. Any ideas or is a plug in job?
