I bought a td5 defender a few months back, it had a new clutch and fly wheel 4-5k previous to me buying.
I have noticed a judder on take up over the past few weeks is this normal? The damp seems to affect it too, once it's nice and hot it's fine.

I'm not sure what make they used but was told it was a dmf!! Does it sound like they cut corners and used a solid?

Just checked the paperwork and the crank bearing was seized, new bearings dmf and clutch were fitted and new oil.

When l got my 110 there was clutch judder in first gear.
I budgeted for a new clutch but the fault went away over time.
I guess if the fault persists the only thing to do is whip off the gearbox and have a look at it.
How long ago was it replaced? There may be a warranty on the work that was done. Can you find out who did the work? They may at least offer a reduced price.

It's only when cold and is bad when its revved. The best way to pull away is using the anti stall trying to let the clutch out quick but not touch the accelerator.
It's a local garage but too much time has elapsed.

it may well be all decent parts fitted well ,,but it wouldnt be the first time cheap or used parts were used

Does the defender have the anti judder valve widget fitted in the clutch hyd line same as the disco?
