Hello All,
does anyone know the correct way of removing the clutch pedal pivot pin so I can remove the actual pedal from the master clutch tower/body scrinson thingy? So I can grit blast it ready for repainting.I have removed the rolled split pin that holds it in.

Does it just tap out? Or is there a certain tool for the job?As one side of the what looks like alloy/galvanised pivot pin holding it together has a threaded hole in it?
I have hopefully attached to pics of the part, just incase my explanation made absolutely no sense.

Cheers

Just had a look in the workshop manual and the part pictured in my previous post is the clutch pedal trunnion, not pivot pin.
I have removed the rolled split pin,so I take it that you can dismantle it? Just wanted to ask if any of you lot had any experience taking this particular piece apart, before applying the holy hammer of Antioch!
I have searched the forum incase this has been discussed in a previous post, and although plenty of clutch related wisdom has been shared alas none as yet pertaining to this subject so far have I found.
I take it I have posted in the right forum section?
Thanks in advance.

Oh ffs!!
Sorry,It's the part circled on the diagram.
It's the pin that keeps the clutch pedal in place.

Sorted! Ok I know the majority of you would sus this out for yourselves, but just incase there are any other people out there who are relatively new to the subtle nuances of Land rover maintenance, here is how I removed my clutch pedal pin by placing in a vise and using a 4.5mm pin punch placed in the end with the thread, although if you only had a larger punch you could easily start from the end where the roll pin is situated at and just start giving it a few gentle love taps and it will drift out nicely and drop into your hand revealing what looks like two brass bushes one on either side of the pedal. Initially it was the threaded end of the pin that made me think there was some complicated way of removing it.Hope this may be of help to someone.Have posted two pics also.
