I would like to change the chip in a TD5 to give it a bit more power speed etc, what is the best way to do it, what is the cheapest way and what do I need? It would appear there are a few reasonably prices kits and a few that cost hundreds.

Having just had mine done 'properly' (chip replaced and new one programmed to my choice of output) by Pete at Bell Auto's I thoroughly recommend you give him a call - 0871 2884656 - he can explain the different options on the market better than I can.

Chipping, Turbo Boost Box thingy, EGR blanking/removal + replacement EGR valve about £475.00 all fitted.

Worth every penny for the performance gain, and like I said, I chose the mapping to best suit my needs (towing - lots of and heavy)
