I have been looking around a bit on the net about doing this conversion and the general consensus seems to be you need a hydraulically controlled auto or a compushift. I would rather have the whole lot from a Disco 2 and transfer it over to the Defender including the gearbox ecu and loom which I assume would still communicate with the engine ecu and if there are any additional pickups required surely they could be wired in.
