Hi all, anyone else suffer from this prob, the rear window on my 02 TD4 has dropped down a couple of time when I close the rear door, not at the same time though so I have'nt noticed it till I've gone back to the motor, luckily its only happened on the drive but could be quite worrying if it happened while I was out somewhere. Do you think I need to get the electrics looked at ?

This often happens to my Freelander. From memory, If you click and hold either the lock or unlock button on the central locking remote, can't remember which, the tailgate window drops remotely. I often accidently press the buttons when they're in my pocket.
Note: Must be careful with remote when raining or in high crime area.

It's the unlock button, when you keep it pushed the tailgate window will open. This is a facility if you're loaded with parcels, that way you can just throw them in the boot.:D :D (If the loadspace cover is open of course).;)

To me this happened a couple of times (rear window open without me touching whatever) when I first had the car, it was parked outside and when I came out I saw the rear window down with the boot luckily enough not too wet as the wind came from ahead. As this happened a couple of times the dealer changed the ECU (which was a pain in the .... as they had to re-program all the stuff to match all the old settings, also need to take the spare key along as that as well has to be reprogrammed at the same time).
