Hi all,

Can anyone throw some light on what "mm" the oil filter screwcap is please?

I have tried to find a socket big enough to unscrew it, but to no avail. Therefore, does anyone know where i can get one big enough?

the size is approx 36 mm,, i had to make up special tool as i didnt have socket that would fit

Just put a search in on ebay and there is a 35mm lawnmower spanner for a fiver.

Might be worth a punt?

i use a big adjustable un put a bar through the eye bolt [on handle] works for me. . . .

think halfrauds have a 38mm socket that can be bought individually, 1/2" drive, bout £10

38mm is too big and 35 too small, 36mm is what you want.

Thank you. I struggled yesterday with a large adjustable and bar, mine was very tight. I won't do another before going to Halfords. John.
