Anyone know what the sensor is that lives in the pipe between intercooler and inlet manifold. The one I mean is between the intercooler outlet and the plastic pipe across the top of the engine. It looks like a thermsitor (temp sensor - intercooler outlet temp??) but I can find no mention of it anwhere in Haynes or anywhere else for that matter. Not worried about it (or am I?) just wondered what it does.

Intake air temperature sensor?

Correct - you have won a coconut!

Wbarkingmad is correct too as it's also the "intercooler outlet temp" sensor.

He can have the pick of the stall - (NB - No goldfish in plastic bags left.)

:p

Thanks Singvogel, thought as much. I'll pick the bypass kit and a set of silicone hoses...
