My Freelander 1 (54 plate, 87K) became very lumpy and smoky on start up and noticeable 'missing' between 2000 and 3000 rpm. Local diesel specialist diagnosed 2 injectors outside parameters so I had all 4 replaced.

It is better but still slightly lumpy start and missing. When stationary and rev to that range it is missing.


It has had recent air and fuel filter changes.

The specialists are having it back but don't sound too sure of likely problem.

Any ideas gratefully received.
