trew's right - not no way no how.

totally different drivetrain arrangement, to say nothing of the td4 being transverse.

nice idea but it int gonna work

all things are possible given enough time, money and enthusiasm...

however, this would surely be beyond the realms of do-able ?

(and start really crying when then realise you're getting 20-25 mpg the whole time)

Silly loud dump valve and fairly standard external appearance is mandatory for confusing the crap out of people.

Use 4.7 diffs and 1.4 transfer case. Pulls like a train to the limiter in 4th, ~105 on 7.50R16s. Wipers are floating off the screen by 80 though and there's a gap between the doortops and roof you can put your hand through by 100...

You'll do this a LOT:

Try not to do this:

He ran 10.75:1 compression, 14.5 psi boost, fuelled on cellulose gunwash thinners (mostly toluene, approx 120 RON) before deciding it was all a little silly. (piston ring lands would break from the loads, it ate halfshafts if you forgot to be gentle in 1st or 2nd, and the LT77 died an unpleasant death in not too many miles)
