Hi I fitted a synergy2 to my hippo.....works fab no smoke, plenty of power and free revving...I am using it on setting 2.... however, if I use full power at around 4000rpm ...... one of the injectors blows the return fuel line 'T' out.......

I rang Ron (nice guy) who recons this is most unsuual ....... he thinks it might be occuring the moment I lift off....as the rail pressure spikes.....

It has done this twice now...... finally I got the clip and squashed it tight in a vice.......and then refitted it......it is now really tight. So far ok....keeping RPM below 3000.

Has anybody else had this........my engine has done around 114k and I was wondering if the plastic and the clips deteriorate with time......should I get a new return rail. By the way it did happen once when it std trim.

Car runs smooth and starts ok, no smoke and good power.

Your thoughts would be most welcome.:welcome2:

Hi ... been thinking about this one I suspect one of my injectors is leaking back.......so if the rail pressure is increased by synergy to cope with higher revs.....when you lift off the gas ...... injectors are seeing really high pressure......I suspect if I have a leaky injector ....a whole gob of fuel suddely wants to be released all of a sudden...and bingo it blows off the return rail. I am going to try some super powerful BG244 injector cleaner.....to see if this helps.....

Ive had this in an L series before and it was just the end of the leakoff was a bit perished. If there is enough on the pipe still, just chop 2mm off it and pop it back on, see if that solves it.

I just had to crack the top off the injector and turn it over afterwards to purge the air out before restarting.

Hi thanks for reply, confused......my injectors have a T piece that clips in.......with a spring......I can't see what I would need to trim off.... When mine blows the whole T piece is forced out!!! and it blows fuel all over engine bay.....are you talking about pipes leading to and from T piece....................

Yeah the tpiece youre talking about is the one thats bolted right to the side of the injector? then its got a rubber hose to the next injector, and finally the no4 cylinder has one going back to the pump?

I would say that if its popping the entire tpiece off the threads on the injector are stripped, and cant hold it in any longer. As above this is probably something along the lines of a blocked rubber leakoff pipe.

Does this look like it might be the problem?
