Hello all

This is a part follow up thread to one I made about the injector readings being out of balance i.e fault codes stored whilst connected to diagnostic device at garage.

Does anyone know the best and most economical way to renew or refurb the diesel injectors?

There is an erratic idle on tick over, (rev needle fluctuates, and different tones in engine from time to time) and also a dirty, funny smell outside the car when the car has been running for a while.

I've tried 'liquid moly', but that didn't work.

I've read mixed reviews on placing the injectors in an 'ultrasonic cleaner', but isn't that good.

I've read about 'diesel bob in Ribchester', he charges £95 + vat per injector for new springs and seals

Any tips, advice or other garages that offer a refurb service would be greatfull.
