Hi all, just been told to watch out for the 'common' problem of the clutch slave going on the TD4, has anyone suffered from this problem and if so are there any warnings signs I should be looking for !!!!

I've had a clutch master cylinder go but not on a Freelander. If it does it just means the clutch won't engage correctly. If you pump the clutch pedal it sometimes enables you to selct the gears.
Job is very easy in my eyes but I've done it before.

Ha Ha, Well Look Under The Under Tray If You See Brake Fluid The Slave Cylinder Is Leaking, its Not A Common Problem But A Pain In The Butt To Change Well Matter Of Opinion But Dropping Out Ird Gearbox Subframe, I Call That A Pain In The Butt, While You Are There Put In New Modified Flywheel And Clutch.job Done.
