I have a 55 plate td4 HSE auto, recently had it serviced and auto transmission fluid changed. The car is running well but the gearbox is making random gear down change when going down hill and when its changing up the box it cant make its mind up when going into second or third. Don't know if this makes sense too any body with my description but any thoughts would be welcome.

This will sound daft, but trust me.
It takes a bit to settle down after a gear oil change. Take it out on a good run up and down hill, but put it in sport mode for most of the trip, on the way back switch it back to D for the last couple of miles. Should sort it out.

If it was working ok before the service. ...then they have must have broke it......have they done it right, have they put in the right fluid and amount?...Ask them what they did exactly....then post back on here.

Autobox will select down gears if you are braking continually downhill.
