you can get rave from greenoval.com.

there are lots of threads on here about checking the oil level in a td4 auto gearbox, if you would care to do a search, then I am sure you will find the answers you are looking for. You need to exercise extreme caution with checking this level, undo the wrong bolt and the gearbox will have to come out to put it right. Essentially, if you undo the wrong one, the brake band for reverse falls off inside the gearbox and it's a box out job to put it right. However, if you can be arsed to search, pay particular attention to the link to ashcroft transmissions as they really know their onions, and they have pictures on their website as to which bolt to undo to check the level. I think the one to undo uses a standard allen key (the size escapes me), whilst the one not to undo is a torx bolt. All of this is on the ashcroft website.

As for the cover, you are either being cack handed or someone has replaced the cover bolt with the wrong bolt. There should be no security torx bits needed to remove the top cover. be careful as there are a couple of bolts which do not need to be removed to get the top cover off, but are sometimes removed in error, so they have been fitted with "torx bits with a lug in the middle" hmmmnnnn......

However, if you are certain you are trying to undo the right things and indeed a security bolt has been fitted instead of an allen bolt, you can get the security bits from the like of halfords, maplin, B&Q, ebay, screwfix, toolstore, most high street hardware shops and so on...

good luck
