Trying to fit my tank guard. I've got it fixed where the original tow bar goes but looks like I have to drill through the chassis to fix the other end. I Had a go but gave up as I can't feel my hands and it was pi**ing me off! If Anybody has fitted one and could give me some tips I'd much appreciate it. Cheers

They go through the bolt lugs that the old tow bar would have used ang the long tab uses the old tank strap bolts at the back behind the tank.

The lugs on the side don't line up with anything. I'll drill and tube the chassis next weekend I think. Only way I can see possible.

They should bolt thru the towbar holes I had one on my old disco and that is where they bolt to. Are you sure it's for your model/year of disco.

Yeah, I managed to get the 4 bolts in where the old tow bar was but there's 2 other holes nearer the diff that don't line up with anything

Disco1 tank guards are held on with four bolts. One on each side on the chassis legs (where the jate rings fit) and two on the rear chassis (will need to remove the rear bumper). If your guard has six fixing points I'm going to guess it's not a disco1 guard. I've had a rocksliders guard as well as the guardian one pictured below and they were both held on with four fixings.

That'll do me :D Thanks. I've got those 4 bolts in so I'll just ignore the other 2 holes. At least I didn't spend 2 hours lieing on a wet floor in the snow trying to figure out how to get bolts in the other 2 holes
