Hi landy lovers.. just a little ditty about me ringing around for the price of a couple of road tyres for me p38 (18'' hurricane wheels)...they went from 71 quid to around 150 each!!!! (various makes).. but interestingly the higher price ones all came from the places who asked what car they were for.......why do the words 'range and rover' make the price of things hit the roof!!!!!! do they think all range rover drivers are rich...guts me!! my advice would be not to tell them what car its for.... unless your really pedantic about tyre fittment of couse...
everyone i asked about tyres asked the make and model. i told em that it was irrelevant what car it was as they would be getting four in the back of a van and then they would do thier work, i would pay and then the tyres would go back in the van. still got similar prices!
i got four cooper zeon tyres fitted and balanced at 4x4 AT at leeming for £340,4 months ago which i thought was very reasonable,but they do specialise in 4x4 anyway

i got 4 pirelli scorpion st tyres fitted, balanced and vat for £300 last month , at pawlett tyres, they have always been the cheapest around here.

Hi, had some problems with one michelin and three avon rangers, so swapped out all four for Avon Rangers and now a brilliant smooth ride, 235/70/ R16 for £304 inc VAT. Did some surfing and that seems a good price.
Do love these Avon's as the ride is so much improved!
