Well it turns out that the actuator has a round opening on the top of the ram, in side that actuator is a plastic bushing where the rod attaches to pop the lock open. The plastic bushing has crumbled and the rod is loose. Tomorrow Ill fab up a mod on that rod so I wont need the bushing. Ill snap a photo or two so you can see how it all works.
It would be much easer of a job with a replacement bushing but that isnt in the cards right now.
